Mosaic Interactive is a series of original, interdisciplinary works that explore our collective dreams, memories, and rituals through the lens of song and storytelling traditions from Morocco, Kurdistan, Java, Palestine, Lebanon and central Appalachia. These works tell stories of what we as humans hold sacred, and how we pass this along to future generations. Mosaic Interactive will premiere in March 2019, with a tour to West Virginia, East Kentucky, and East Tennessee, where artists will perform and participate in community-led public events and dances, musical jams, and potlucks.

Mosaic celebrates the power of cross-cultural collaboration, as artists from a constellation of cultural backgrounds demonstrate how we can establish lasting creative networks and cross-cultural relationships based on empathy, inventiveness, and dialogue. Together, these artists explore the myriad of stories that connect us all as human beings.

Mosaic Interactive is supported by the Building Bridges program of the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. Additional residency support provided by the Pocantico Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
