Maxwell Bowman

Maxwell Bowman is a lighting and multimedia designer with side endeavors in interactive art and design. He has worked heavily with award-winning visual artist Elaine McCarthy, and has also collaborated all over the country on productions by such organizations as the American Repertory Theatre, The Atlanta Opera, Santa Fe Opera, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, The Dallas Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Philadelphia Theatre Company, San Diego Opera, Second Stage, and National Sawdust Factory to name a select few. He was the Co-Lighting Designer for the national tour of WNYC’s Radiolab: Apocalyptical, Projection Designer of the ‘Ruggedly Jewish’ national tour, and is a contributing member of the collective ‘GLMMR’ in areas of lighting and technology integration. Maxwell is originally from Tumwater, Washington and attended Southern Methodist University (MFA) and Southern Oregon University (BFA). Maxwell is currently based in New York, NY with his amazing understanding wife and cat.
